‘Truth Is’ EP Coming 2021

Nashville based singer/songwriter Liza Holbrook, now emerging under the name Teddie CollinZ, is set to release their debut EP in 2021. Produced and co-written with friend and Nashville based pop phenomenon Sinclair, a multi-instrumentalist and an overall force in the industry.  Drawing inspiration from Imogen Heap, Melody Gardot, LP, Portishead, and Billie Eilish, The ‘Truth Is’ EP proves to be a pop forward record with diverse sub genres including jazz, classical, and trip hop mixed in. 

The 2019 holiday release "Wonderful Feeling" by Jars of Clay & SHEL was written & sung by Teddie.  That particular song went on to become the most played track on the album with over 600,000 spins on Spotify alone!

With a tour history of over 13 years across the US, UK, and Europe, with the Colorado based band SHEL, Teddie is no stranger to the rigors of touring and working in the music industry. 

From a young age Teddie was classically trained on pedal harp before switching to percussion, drum-kit and later on beatboxing, all of which were self taught.    

Some favorite career moments have been touring as drummer and background vocalist for Sinclair on a 2018 east coast spring tour opening for Daughtry, the invitation to beatbox with Amos Lee on the legendary Ryman stage in 2018, and the opportunity to perform at Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2015. 

With tours canceled and life on hold due to the 2020 pandemic, the lock down in Nashville presented an opportunity to find solace in creation for both Teddie and Sinclair. Finding new truths and avenues for expression beyond the confines of other projects or commitments. Writing and working through the spring and summer of 2020, themes of loss, love, new perspectives, and an ache for true belonging and home emerged into the upcoming seven song release ‘Truth Is’.
